Our Curriculum

ESA was established to support young people to access opportunities in the creative arts industry.

We have worked with industry partners to develop our curriculum to ensure that students receive relevant knowledge, skills and work experience to be occupationally ready for the different areas of employment within film, TV and theatre, and the specific trades, crafts and technical disciplines that underpin the creative sector.

The graphic below shows these pipelines which may help you think about which subjects you want to combine together when picking your options.

The Curriculum Pipeline

In order to provide consistent classroom-to-career training, we have developed the ESA Curriculum Pipeline - a series of destination-focused pathways with suggesed course options to help give you the tools and skills in multiple content creation industries including Creative Production, Crafts and Trades, Creative Technical, Post-Production, Animation and Games, and Performing Arts.

ESA Magic

Our curriculum is further enhanced by an extended offer which we call ‘ESA Magic’.

ESA Magic provides students with clubs, workshops, projects, trips, work experience and employer engagements.

We are committed to ensuring that all learners will be involved with extra curricular projects, clubs, trips and employer engagements - working with our in-house production team and with other students from across all key stages.
